JEFF LORBER FUSION
As their name suggests, Jeff Lorber Fusion not only delivers ground-breaking music; they part of a wave of artists who created the genre of jazz fusion. Led by Grammy-winning keyboardist/composer/producer Jeff Lorber, beginning in the late 70’s the band created a unique groove-oriented style of jazz, winning a passionate fanbase from both within and outside the jazz world. They were a jazz band that rock and funk fans embraced. A string of Grammy-nominated albums followed and Lorber became a noted producer as well with his productions of Michael Franks, Richard Elliot, Gerald Albright and Rick Brown. Widespread touring cemented Lorber’s status as an icon of crossover jazz.
