FLOBOTS
Denver-based Flobots is one of a hanful of ground-breaking rap/rock alternative bands that has won a passionate following with politically-charged lyrics and a radio-ready sound graced by the viola-playing of MacKenzie Gault. Their critically-acclaimed debut album, Fight With Tools, yielded the Modern Rock radio hit “Handlebars” as the album hjt the Top 15 on the Billboard pop chart. Fueled by wide-ranging touring, alternative music festival appearances and national television appearances on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Flobots became one of the rising bands to watch. Powered by not one but two rappers, subsequent albums by the band continued to deliver timely messages touching on political issues as well as climate change and immigration reform. The band continues to record and tour nationally.
