One of the greatest reggae vocal groups of all time, Culture ranks along with Burning Spear, The Mighty Diamonds and The Heptones as legendary exemplars of roots reggae. If Culture had done nothing more than release their classic album “Two Sevens Clash”, listed by Rolling Stone as one of the 25 coolest albums of all time, their place in music history would have been assured; the prophetic title track, when released as a single, literally brought the city of Kingston, Jamaica to a standstill. But, led by lead vocalist and songwriter Joseph Hill, Culture released more than twenty studio albums over their 30-year history and toured the world relentlessly bringing authentic roots reggae and a spiritual message to audiences around the globe.
