Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Angie Stone is an iconic artist whose career stretches from her teenage beginning as a member of the first female rap group, Sequence, who scored the classic hit “Funk You Up,” to her breakthrough as one of the key singer, songwriter and producer sin the neo-soul movement, through her evolution as one of the finest voices of classic soul music. Indeed she was a co-producer and co-writer of D’Angelo’s breakthrough classic “Brown Sugar” album and wrote songs recorded by Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz. Over the years she has scored a string of R&B hits included “Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” No More Rain In This Cloud”, “Brotha”, “Rich Girl” and “Dream.” Aside from her recording, she has appeared in such feature films as The Fighting Temptations, Pastor Brown and Ride Along, the Broadway production Chicago, and three reality TV shows: VH1 ‘s Celebrity Fit Club, TV Ones R&B Divas, an ABC’s Celebrity Wife Swap.
