Wiggle Outta This
by Curtis Salgado
1999
Curtis Salgado, "The Original Blues Brother," has been an outstanding contemporary blues singer and harmonica player for decades. He was second vocalist and harp player for Robert Cray's early band, lead vocalist for Room Full Of Blues for two years, and was the direct inspiration for John Belushi's "Blues Brother" act as well as lead vocalist with Santana for a brief period.
Wiggle Outta This, Curtis' third album, features his soulful vocals and incisive harp playing on a smoking set of rockin' blues and soul. The album is dominated by outstanding originals but also inspired covers of songs made known by Bobby Bland and J.B. Lenoir.
Besides performing as one of the reigning stars of the Northwest blues scene, Curtis has appeared on on Late Nite With Conan O'Brien and was the opening act for a national tour by Steve Miller, a frequent songwriting partner.
